Construction Training Groups Merge and Rebrand
On the 1st July 2026, the North Yorkshire Construction Training Group (NYCTG) and Promoting Construction West Yorkshire Training Group (PCWY) joined forces to form the Yorkshire Construction Training Group (YCTG), operating across North, West and South Yorkshire.
Prior to April 2026, the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) funded training groups like ours to help micro and SME construction businesses plan, identify and source timely and affordable training for them and their teams. Without the support of a dedicated training advisory service, this can be time-consuming and costly. With the withdrawal of CITB funding, we believe it is time to build something better.
The Yorkshire Construction Training Group is a self-funded, not-for-profits private company limited by guarantee (LBG), which means that while continuing to serve our existing members, we have greater autonomy to invite more businesses, who were previously ineligible for training support, to benefit from our services.
Lorraine Kirbitson continues as the Group’s Advisor and Coordinator. By merging both training groups, business costs are streamlined, leaving more time to help members access a wide choice of affordable, quality training and organising events from insightful industry experts.
With over 80 members, the Yorkshire Construction Training Group offers peer support and carries a louder regional voice. With an established presence in the training arena, the Group will continue to build and extend professional relationships with funding hubs, grants administrators and training providers to secure the best options for its members.
