What is the Yorkshire Construction Training Group?

In July 2026, the North Yorkshire Training Group (NYCTG) and the Promoting Construction West Yorkshire Training Group (PCWY), who were previously funded by the CITB, joined forces to become the Yorkshire Construction Training Group.
The Yorkshire Construction Training Group is an LBG (Private Company Limited by Guarantee) and a self-funded not-for-profits group, with over thirty years’ experience of supporting construction training and business growth in the Yorkshire region.
What does the Yorkshire Construction Training Group do?

The Yorkshire Construction Training Group supports micro and SME construction businesses across Yorkshire to identify, plan and source mandatory and skills related training. By providing access to high quality training, we aim to facilitate best practice and support high standards across the sector.
How do you help micro and SME construction businesses in Yorkshire save time and money?

The Yorkshire Construction Training Group saves its members time and money by negotiating discounted rates with training specialists and partners, and where preferred, source locally hosted events or e-learning options to reduce travel costs and downtime. We already know what grants and funding may be available to you, saving you hours of research and browsing time.

The Yorkshire Construction Training Group offers its members the opportunity to connect and network with like-minded businesses, learn from industry experts at online Learning Lunches and through strength of numbers, have a stronger regional voice.
Who can be a Yorkshire Construction Training Group member?

Because the Yorkshire Construction Training Group is a self-funded not-for-profits group, we can extend membership to a broader group of micro businesses and SMEs, not just CITB registered traders and companies. If there are any training group partners that are better suited to support your business needs than us, we will happily sign-post you in their direction.
